Rumbo Tumba

Rumbo Tumba was born in early 2012 and since then has toured the world incessantly, performing on renowned stages and festivals, including: Pirineos Sur 2015 & 2019 (Spain), Mutek AR (Argentina), MTN Bushfire (Eswatini), BHZ No Logo (France), Ariano Folk Festival (Italy), Ozora Festival 2019 & 2022 (Hungary), Fusion Festival (Germany), Aux Heures d’été (France), Festival Boreal (Spain), Bratislava World Music Festival (Slovakia), MIL – Lisbonne International Music Network (Portugal), La Gaîté Lyrique (France), South African State Theatre (South Africa), among others.

Since 2015, he has also been producing a concert series in Buenos Aires called “Cable Tierra,” which has now run for 20 years. This series also has an annual festival edition in the Paraná River Delta, in the city of Campana.

Their music has been featured on various compilations worldwide showcasing new Latin American and Argentinian folk music (“Waxploitation” USA, “Produce Crack” ARG, “Shika Shika” DEU). In 2020, the Apple TV documentary series “Long Way Up” chose Rumbo Tumba’s music to accompany Ewan McGregor on his motorcycle journey through the Andes Mountains, and in 2023 they provided the complete soundtrack for the series “Distópica: historias de una Argentina que pudiera haber sido” (Distopic: Stories of an Argentina That Could Have Been), which aired on Televisión Pública Argentina.
He has independently released 3 EPs (“Groove Andina” from 2012, “Cable Tierra” from 2015, “10 Años” from 2023) and 2 LPs (“Madera Sur” from 2018 and “Rio Adentro” from 2021)
